Data analysis for your thesis
Your data, run properly, with every table explained to you.
Yes, we help you run the data analysis for your thesis in SPSS, R, AMOS, SmartPLS or NVivo, and explain each result to you.
Data, decisions and chapter all stay yours. Our job is to see that you understand every number before it goes in the thesis.
Mostly scholars contact us after the data collection is over. By then the filled questionnaires are typed into one Excel sheet of 300 or 400 rows. Guide has only said “do the regression” or “run SEM” and moved on. Then the work stops for weeks. The software is new, the SPSS output runs to 40 pages, and nobody tell you which numbers from it should go in Chapter 4.
First we do the data cleaning along with you. Then we choose tests that fit your objectives, run them and make the tables in the format your university follows. In the end we take one call and go through each result with you. After that, when the examiner asks in viva why you took this test and what this value is telling, you can reply in your own words.
Who this suits
Analysis requests mostly come in one of these ways.
- You have finished collecting survey data. Now you are opening SPSS and don’t know which test to use for which objective.
- The doctoral committee wants structural equation modelling. You are not sure if AMOS or SmartPLS is right for your sample size and model.
- Interview transcripts are ready and they have to be coded into themes, in NVivo or manually, and you must be able to write how you did it in the methodology chapter.
- Somebody already did the analysis for you. Now the reviewer or one committee member is asking questions on it and you want us to recheck before replying them.
What you get
- A cleaned data file
We return your Excel or SPSS file after checking the coding, handling missing values and correcting reverse-coded items. Every change is noted in a log, which helps when you write the cleaning part of the method chapter.
- An analysis plan you agree first
It is a one-page table. Each objective or hypothesis is matched with a test and the reason for choosing it. We run nothing till you and your guide are fine with this plan.
- The analysis itself
As per your objectives, this can include descriptives, reliability, normality checks, t-tests, ANOVA, chi-square, correlation and regression. Some theses also need factor analysis, mediation and moderation, or SEM in AMOS or SmartPLS.
- Tables and figures in thesis format
Results come to you in Word, set the way Indian universities mostly want. Table numbers and notes are there and reporting follows APA style, ready to place in your chapter.
- A walkthrough call
On a video call we take each table one by one, and we continue till you can explain it on your own. You can record it and play it again before the review meeting.
- Notes for your results chapter
For every result you get a short note on what it shows. With these notes you write the interpretation in your own words.
- The raw output and syntax
You also get the SPSS output file, the R script or the SmartPLS project. If some committee member wants to see from where one number in Table 4.3 came, you can open this and show.
How the work runs
Share your objectives and data
Send your synopsis or the list of objectives, along with the questionnaire and data file. We first look whether the data can answer each objective.
Agree the analysis plan
You get the plan in writing to show your guide. Suppose the guide prefers some other test. We change the plan at that stage itself, before doing any work.
Clean and run
First the file is cleaned. Then we test the assumptions that each method needs, and run the analysis. Suppose normality or equal variance is not holding for your data. We will message you first and tell which other test can be used in its place.
Walk through the results
We take a video call and go through all the tables. You can keep asking doubts till every number is clear for you.
Fix what the committee asks
If the guide or committee wants changes after seeing the results, we rerun the analysis and explain the new output, within the rounds of changes fixed in the scope.
Ask about data analysis for your thesis
Only four fields to fill. We will call or WhatsApp you back by the next working day, and many times earlier than that. First talk with us is free, you don’t pay anything for it.
How long it takes
| Work | Typical time | Depends on |
|---|---|---|
| Cleaning a survey file and descriptive tables | 3 to 5 working days | How messy the data is, and the number of items in it |
| Reliability, correlation and regression for 3 to 5 objectives | 1 to 2 weeks | Number of objectives, and whether the assumptions are met |
| SEM in AMOS or SmartPLS, with measurement and structural models | 2 to 3 weeks | Size of the model, and how many changes the committee wants |
| Coding 15 to 25 interviews in NVivo | 2 to 4 weeks | Length and language of the transcripts, and how deep the coding goes |
| Re-checking an analysis questioned by a reviewer | 3 to 7 working days | Whether you still have the original data and output |
The times above are typical, counted from when we have your data and the plan is agreed. Mostly the slowest part is waiting for the guide to approve the plan, so ask your guide early. If your review date is already fixed, tell us in the first call itself.
What it costs
We don’t have a fixed rate card. One PhD analysis may finish in some days and another one may take many weeks, even though both are called “thesis analysis”. After a short call and a look at your data and objectives, we send a written quote with the full list of what is covered and how many rounds of changes you get. Payment is in stages, and nothing is charged till you accept the quote.
The quote depends on
- How many objectives and hypotheses you have
- Which methods are needed, for example regression or SEM
- Size of the data file and its condition
- Whether qualitative coding is also required
- How soon you need the results

Questions scholars ask
Which software do you use?
For most survey analysis we use SPSS. AMOS or SmartPLS is used for structural equation modelling, and NVivo for qualitative coding. R comes in when a method needs it or the university prefers it. If your guide has asked for one particular package, we work in that package.
Should I use AMOS or SmartPLS?
We decide this only after seeing your model and how many responses you have. AMOS is suitable when you are testing a theory, the model is clearly defined and the sample is fairly large and normal. SmartPLS can handle smaller samples and non-normal data better, and it is used more for prediction. Whichever one we pick, the reason is written in the analysis plan and you can show the same to your guide or in viva.
My data isn’t normal. Is that a problem?
Not always. Many tests have a non-parametric option, and some methods work fine with non-normal data. Before running any test we see how normal each of your variables is, and then explain objective by objective what has to change.
Can you collect the data for me?
No. You will be signing a declaration that the work is your own, so going to the field and getting responses has to be done by you only. Before you go to the field, we can help with the questionnaire design and sample size.
Will I be able to explain the results at my viva?
The walkthrough call is meant for exactly this. One common viva question is “Your R² is 0.32. Is that good?” In the call we practise such questions table by table. Most scholars after two or three rounds of this are comfortable telling what they tested and what came out, and also where the result has limits.
Who else sees my data?
No one outside our team. The data file is used for your analysis only. It is not shared, published or used again for anything, and once the work is over you can ask us to delete it.
Does my university change how the analysis is done?
The tests are done in the same way for every university. But your results chapter has to follow your own university’s format and similarity limit, and each university has its own number. For example the Bharathiar University certificate puts the limit at 10%. In JNTUH it is 24% overall, with not more than 3% from any one source. Our city pages list these rules, for example Coimbatore and Hyderabad.
