Thesis Writing Service

PhD thesis writing help

Chapter-by-chapter help that keeps the thesis yours.

Yes, we help you write your PhD thesis chapter by chapter, from the first outline till the pre-submission draft, and you remain the author.

Most scholars come to us after the main research work is over. The coursework is cleared, the Research and Publication Ethics paper is passed, and the experiments or fieldwork are finished. Now the writing is pending. Two or three chapters are half written. Your guide is returning the drafts again and again with “rewrite” in the margin. Every month the submission window is coming closer. For most of us English is a second language, and writing 200 pages in it is hard work even after the research is fully done. Very few departments are teaching this writing part.

So we work along with you on the writing part. You bring your data, your notes and the argument. First we plan each chapter with you. After you write the draft, it comes back from us in tracked changes. Wherever we feel an examiner will catch you with a question, we put a comment there. We also check that the thesis is consistent from abstract to the last reference. You see every page again and decide to keep it or rewrite it. Two external examiners will read the thesis, and at the viva you are the one answering for it.

Who this suits

Most scholars contact us at one of these stages.

  • You have the results but no chapters. The lab notebook or the survey data is complete, and still the thesis file has only a title page in it.
  • You have chapters, but they are not connected with each other. The review in Chapter 2 talks about some ideas but Chapter 4 is testing something different. Your supervisor says there is no link between the chapters.
  • Your supervisor is asking for the full thesis draft before the synopsis meeting, and the meeting date is already fixed.
  • You registered as part-time scholar. You teach or work the full day, and only late evening is free for writing.

What you get

A chapter map for the full thesis

Before drafting starts, we prepare a plan of two or three pages. It gives the purpose of each chapter, its sections, which objective it answers and roughly how many pages it should come to. Your supervisor sees this chapter map first. The most common problem we see is a thesis written like six separate essays, and this map stops it early.

Chapter 1, the introduction

Background, problem statement, objectives and scope, written in a way that matches the synopsis your committee already approved. Many scholars don’t give attention to this, and later it creates trouble. For example, Bharathiar University wants the thesis title to match the synopsis title.

Chapter 2, the review of literature

We group your sources by theme and avoid summarising one paper after another. In the last part of the chapter, the research gap is written in plain words. You do the reading. We help you see the pattern in it and cite it correctly. If you want bigger help on this chapter alone, see our literature review help.

Chapter 3, the methodology

A method chapter should give the reason for each choice, and not just list what you did. Why this design, this sample, this instrument, this test? In the viva the examiner is mostly asking “why did you do this”. If the reason is already there in the chapter itself, answering becomes easy for you.

Chapters 4 and 5, results and discussion

Results come in the same order as your objectives. Tables are numbered and captioned. In the discussion your findings are compared with the studies you reviewed in Chapter 2. If the analysis is still not done, our data analysis service takes care of that part first.

The last chapter and the abstract

Conclusions are linked to each objective. We write the limitations honestly. In future scope we mention actual studies that another scholar can take up next. The abstract of the thesis is written at the very end, and it stays inside the word limit of your university.

A pass through the whole thesis

We read the full thesis once only for consistency. The same idea should have the same term everywhere. Numbers in the abstract should match the numbers in the results. Every citation should be in the reference list, and every reference should be cited. Examiners’ reports mostly pick up this type of small mistakes, more than any other kind of error.

Format and a similarity report

We set the layout as per your university’s current thesis guidelines. We also run a similarity check and go through the report with you, before your library or research cell does the official check.

How the work runs

  1. First call to understand where you are

Twenty or thirty minutes on phone or video. We ask how much of the thesis is written, what your supervisor has told you, which university and which regulation you come under, and what your real deadline is. Then we tell you clearly if the timeline is possible.

  2. Scope in writing

We send you a short document. In it we write which chapters we will work on and what work we do in each chapter. The number of revision rounds and the dates are also there. You can show this written scope to your supervisor also. Only after you agree for this scope we will start the work.

  3. Outline first, then you draft

For every chapter we first fix a section outline together. Then you write the chapter draft. Rough notes under each heading are also fine. We work on that draft with you and send it back in tracked changes. Wherever the argument is weak, we put a comment.

  4. Your supervisor reads chapter by chapter

Each chapter goes to your supervisor once it is ready. Your supervisor will send back comments. We read those comments with you on a call and decide what changes are needed.

  5. Reading the full draft

After all the chapters are in place, we read the thesis from start to end. We see whether one chapter is leading to the next. The terms and numbers should be same in every chapter, and no reference should be missing. Then we format it and run the similarity check.

  6. Preparing for the pre-submission session

As per the UGC 2022 regulations, before submitting you present your work to the Research Advisory Committee. Any faculty member or research student can attend that session. We help you prepare the slides, and we practise the questions that audience usually asks.

How long it takes

WorkTypical timeDepends on
A chapter map for the full thesis1 to 2 weeksHow clear your objectives already are, and how quickly your supervisor replies
One chapter, from outline till revised draft2 to 4 weeksChapter length, how ready your draft is, and how many rounds of comments come
The review of literature chapter4 to 6 weeksHow many sources there are, and how much reading is still pending
Consistency pass of the whole thesis, with references2 to 3 weeksThesis length and the citation style used
Format and similarity check1 to 2 weeksYour university’s guidelines and the similarity score in the first check
From rough chapters to a thesis ready for submission4 to 8 monthsMainly your own writing hours every week, more than our part

Look at the last row carefully. In a PhD thesis most of the time goes into your writing and your supervisor’s reading, and our share is smaller. If you have a fixed date, like a synopsis meeting or the six-year limit in the UGC 2022 regulations, tell us on the first call itself. We plan backwards from it.

What it costs

One thesis may need only a light edit of five finished chapters. Another thesis may need months of work, chapter by chapter. For that reason we don’t have one fixed price. After the first call and a look at your writing, we send a written quote for the scope we agreed. The quote names the chapters, the revision rounds and the dates. Payment is in stages, as each chapter gets done.

How we scope and quote

The quote depends on

  • How many chapters are in the scope, and how far each one has reached
  • Your subject, for example a lab-based science thesis versus a humanities thesis
  • Length of the thesis and the number of references
  • Whether data analysis, formatting or a similarity check is part of the work
  • How much time is left before your synopsis or submission date

Questions scholars ask

Will you write my PhD thesis for me?

Not from a blank page, and never in a way that you can’t defend later. We work on the thesis along with you. Outlines, your drafts, structure, language, references and format all come in this. You write the chapters, and every decision about the content is yours. Some people want just a finished thesis sent to them. We are not the right people for that work.

My English isn’t strong. Can I still write the chapters myself?

Yes, you can. Many scholars think in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam or Kannada and then write in English. Write your draft in whatever English you know. Even short notes under each heading will do. We work on it with you in tracked changes till it is clear academic English. For the bigger edits we explain the reason, so that your next chapter needs fewer corrections.

Must I publish papers before submitting the thesis?

As per the UGC 2022 regulations, publishing a paper is not compulsory. But many universities do ask for it. Anna University wants a paper in a journal from its CFR list before the synopsis, and the University of Madras also wants one paper before the synopsis. Please check your own university regulation. If papers are part of your plan, our research paper support can help with them.

My supervisor rejected my chapter. Can you help me fix it?

Yes, send us the chapter along with the comments. Most rejections happen for a few common reasons. Mostly the guide cannot see how the chapter connects to the objectives. Sometimes the review just lists one paper after another with no argument. In some chapters the results are given but their meaning is not explained. We take the comments one at a time with you and fix what to change. After that you revise the draft and we work on it with you.

Can you work to my university’s format?

Yes. Layout rules are different in every university. JNTUH wants the Bookman Old Style font, while Osmania wants Times New Roman. Bharathiar wants a thin flexible cover and not a hard binding. Please share the latest guidelines your department gave you. We follow those only, not some general format.

I haven’t finished my synopsis yet. Is it too early to call?

No, many times this is actually the right time to start. At Anna University the complete first draft of the thesis must be ready for the synopsis meeting. That means the thesis writing and the synopsis go on side by side. For the synopsis document itself, see our synopsis help.

I’m part-time and work all week. Will this fit?

Yes, it can. Mostly we work by shared files and WhatsApp, and you can reply after office hours also. We plan the chapters according to the hours you really have. For a part-time scholar, one chapter in a month is a realistic speed, and sometimes it is slower than that.

Do you meet scholars in person?

No. We work remotely from Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu, using phone, WhatsApp and video calls. We work with scholars in Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Trivandrum and other places. You can send drafts on email or keep them in a shared Drive folder. Honestly, going through tracked changes on a shared screen is easier for both sides than paper.

Stuck on a chapter? Talk it through with us.

Call or WhatsApp, say where you are in your thesis, and we’ll tell you plainly what kind of help makes sense, if any.
